Comprehensive 12-Month Component & Bench Workmanship Warranty
Apex Industrial Control LLC ("Apex") stands behind every remanufactured Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), AC/DC servo drive, PLC module, HMI display, and power supply unit with a comprehensive 12-Month (1 Full Year) In-Service Warranty. This warranty covers all replaced electronic components, semiconductor modules, power stages, and bench engineering workmanship.
1. Warranty Coverage & Duration
The 12-Month In-Service Warranty period begins on the date of unit shipment from our Virginia repair lab facility (or date of documented field installation).
What Is Covered Under Warranty:
- All replacement components (IGBT power modules, gate driver ICs, optocouplers, electrolytic capacitors, relays, power MOSFETs).
- Micro-soldering, trace reconstruction, and circuit board rework performed during repair.
- Failure of repaired control circuits under normal operating conditions within spec.
2. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Procedure
If a unit experiences an operational failure within the 12-month warranty period, follow our streamlined 4-step RMA return protocol:
Contact Technical Support at 612-747-8866 or email ozorbay@gmail.com with your original Repair Ticket # or Invoice #.
Our intake team issues an official RMA tracking number and packing slip with priority bench dispatch routing.
Package the unit in ESD anti-static shielding and at least 3 inches of protective foam cushioning around heavy VFD chasses.
Upon arrival, your unit is placed immediately on the bench for root-cause failure analysis and expedited warranty servicing.
3. Warranty Exclusions & Non-Covered Conditions
To maintain warranty validity, equipment must operate within OEM electrical and environmental specifications. The 12-month warranty does NOT cover failures caused by:
- Field Misapplication & Wiring Errors: Incorrect line voltage input, phase loss, reverse polarity, or incorrect control terminal wiring during re-installation.
- External Electrical Surges: Lightning strikes, utility utility grid voltage spikes, or phase imbalance beyond hardware ratings.
- Severe Environmental Contamination: Exposure to conductive metal filings, coolant/oil ingress, liquid chemical splash, or operation in ambient temperatures exceeding OEM rating.
- Mechanical Damage & Physical Tampering: Dropped hardware, physical impact during transit, broken warranty seals, or unauthorized customer soldering/board modifications.
- External Peripheral Faults: Shorted motor windings, locked load bearings, or bad external encoders that cause secondary damage to the drive output stage.
4. Warranty Freight & Shipping Policy
Customer is responsible for inbound freight shipping to our Virginia bench lab facility for RMA evaluation. For verified warranty claims, Apex covers standard UPS Ground return shipping back to Customer facility within the continental United States. Expedited air freight requests can be accommodated at Customer expense.
